Building a new home for the Jean School of Nursing
Saint Anselm College is excited to have opened a new state-of-the-art facility, Grappone Hall, which is home to the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences. At 45,000 square feet in size, the building includes simulation labs, high-fidelity classrooms, student study spaces, and more.
Building on its strong reputation in the region for undergraduate nursing and liberal arts, Saint Anselm College is broadening its reach by educating healthcare leaders through new majors in community and public health and health sciences.
Through the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences, the college continues to shape compassionate leaders in healthcare with diverse classroom and experiential learning experiences to prepare graduates to improve the health of their patients, families, and communities.
Grappone Hall includes:
- a 150-seat auditorium
- a public health community space
- a 7-lab simulation learning center (see slide)
- collaborative learning spaces for kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology
- community spaces on two floors for students to meet and study
The Sheila Evjy Center for Health Sciences Simulation is 11,000 square feet and features 7 specialized labs: Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care, Home Health, Mental Health, Patient Apartment, and a simulated nursing unit with the full complement of support spaces, including medication, nutrition, clean supply, and a simulated nurse station.
