Grappone Hall is the new home of the Jean School of Nursing and Health Sciences.  It provides nursing, public health, and health science students with the learning environment and experiences they need to become the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Within the 45,000 square foot building, Grappone Hall includes an auditorium, simulation center, and learning spaces designed to encourage collaboration. It can support growth and has the infrastructure for further expansion. Grappone Hall is also designed to be sustainable with 200,000-gallon stormwater geocells, it matches the aesthetic of the historic Saint Anselm campus, and features locally cultivated, regionally appropriate landscaping.

It officially opened in September 2025 at a ribbon cutting attended by benefactors, elected officials, and the college community.

Sheila Evjy Center for Health Sciences Simulation

The Sheila Evjy Center for Health Sciences Simulation is home to seven specialized rooms taking up 11,000 square feet on the second floor of Grappone Hall where our students receive hands-on realistic learning experiences. It contains advanced simulation technology to bridge the gap between the classroom and practice, allowing students to gain experience in diverse clinical scenarios in a supportive and controlled environment – preparing them for the real-world of clinical practice. Rooms in the Simulation Center include environments such as labor and delivery, pediatrics, medical/surgical, intensive care, home health, mental health, and a patient apartment. There are also spaces that simulate medication, nutrition, clean supply rooms, and a nurses’ station, so that students can prepare in a space as close to real life as possible.

Abbot Gerald Auditorium

The Abbot Gerald Auditorium is the heart of Grappone Hall. It is a 4,253 square foot auditorium that can adapt to host audiences between 36 and 200 people. It has a flexible set up to serve multiple forms of teaching from seating around tables for group work to classes which support distance learning and a traditional lecture space.

The Auditorium hosts the most advanced AV system on campus, which includes heads-up displays and queuing capabilities for lecturers, tracking cameras for speakers (both presenter & audience), and video streaming and integration with other campus spaces.
